About

Welcome! When making the decision to seek counseling services, it is important to have a sense of who you will be working with. To that end, I endeavor to answer frequent questions that arise about my background, services, and the counseling process here. If you have additional questions that are not addressed, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I have a Master’s degree in Community Counseling and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland.

I have been in practice for over a decade. Prior to starting a private practice, I worked in community agencies, crisis settings, an eating disorders clinic, and most recently, in a university counseling center. As a result, I have worked with clients across the lifespan who are experiencing a number of concerns, including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, disordered eating behavior/ body image concerns, academic distress, and adjustment/ transition issues. I have also completed additional training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and I enjoy working with women who are trying to conceive, are pregnant, or are in the postpartum period.

In addition to my clinical work, I am also a faculty member in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Immaculata University. Here, I teach and supervise master’s students who are training to become counselors.
